Support to live your life in your home and community — your way.

The Mi Via Self-Directed Waiver is a New Mexico program that gives people with Intellectual and Developmental Disabilities (IDD) more choice and control over the services and supports they receive.

Instead of receiving care through a traditional agency, Mi Via allows you to make decisions about:

  • The services you use
  • The people who provide your support
  • How your care fits your daily life and goals

Consumer Direct Care Network New Mexico (CDNM) is here to guide you through the process and support you along the way.

Person-Centered Support

Mi Via is built on the belief that:

  • Everyone has strengths and abilities
  • People have the right to make choices about their own lives
  • People belong in their communities
  • Services should support each person’s unique needs and goals

The program focuses on helping participants live, learn, work, and participate in their communities in ways that are meaningful to them.

How CDNM Supports You

Our Mi Via Consultants act as guides and advocates for New Mexicans on the Mi Via waiver. They play an important role in helping participants and their families manage their own services and supports.

We can help with:

  • Getting started in the Mi Via program
  • Understanding your service and budget options
  • Hiring and managing support workers
  • Completing required paperwork
  • Answering questions as your needs change

Our goal is to make it easier for you to direct your services in a way that reflects your preferences, strengths, and priorities.
